Twin Cities typeface

In preparation for the Twin Cities Design Celebration 2003, the Design Institute at the University of Minnesota invited six type designers to attempt to answer the question, ‘Can a typeface represent what’s unique about a city?’ Specifically, can a typeface represent the Twin Cities? This (ultimately unsuccessful) submission took that most Minnesotan of characteristics as its starting point: the weather. The entire project was documented in Metro Letters: A Typeface For The Twin Cities.
