
In preparation for the Twin Cities Design Celebration 2003, the Design Institute at the University of Minnesota invited six type designers to attempt to answer the question, ‘Can a typeface represent what’s unique about a city?’ Specifically, can a typeface represent the Twin Cities? This (ultimately unsuccessful) submission took that most Minnesotan of characteristics as its starting point: the weather. The entire project was documented in Metro Letters: A Typeface For The Twin Cities.
